Marine project

Meeting with marine groups

ELIXIR.NO aims to develop bioinformatics tools and establish e-infrastructures for analysing and sharing of species oriented and comparative fish genomics resources. Also, pipelines for processing and analysis of marine microbial genomics, metagenomics, and transcriptomics data sets will be developed. Many projects within these fields have large bioinformatics needs and ambitions. An important aim should be to make data produced available to the international community in a standardised way, maximising the value of data and visibility of the projects producing the data.

To ensure a good dialog with potential users and collaborators within marine genomics field more than 20 different institutions, including academia, research institutes and industry, have been invited for a seminar at Gardermoen 18th June 2013. The meeting is organised with economical and practical support from the Research Council of Norway.

The bioinformatics platform provides research-based services and training to functional genomics users in Norway.
